Left Port Augusta at 7am, 28degrees. Drove to Kimba, – half way across Autralia point. Got fuel. What a beautiful town, clean, must be safe as everyone leaves their car windows wide open. Had a lovely morning tea in the local cafe. Got soooo excited as I discovered my first Kirks Kole’ Beer soft drink. They don’t sell them in NSW so I bought one to celebrate, sad but true. Changed driving at Poochera. Drove on to Ceduna and headed to the Ceduna Oyster Bar, had been hanging out for these famous oysters for weeks. What a disappointment, Tasmania oysters outweigh them in taste by far. I had a dozen oysters natural and they don’t compare. We were going to stay the night in Ceduna but didn’t like the town at all, so pressed on to Cactus Beach which Brett has been wanting to visit for years, a famous surfing beach.
